Help Will Be There When Necessary

Being around the world twice and hitchhiking to California, we have more acquaintances than most others. Our friends who stumble across this website should contact us. We'd like to know how you and your children are doing in the 21st century.

We hitched back in '72 and got jobs in Lancaster, Pa. The next summer our slant six station wagon accrued more than 12,000 miles and we ended up north of San Francisco.

Rox was pregnant with our first child and finding a compatible childbirth clinic in the mountains of northern California is not easy. People were fighting over the land and seven serial killings were taking place across a large state. The trip back East at seven months put another 4,000 miles on our car.

We experienced the same difficulty in natural childbirth venues in Pennsylvania. If help were needed, it would have been there when we looked for assistance. We decided to handle the birth ourselves.

I delivered our five children at four different locations. We used hemostats to clamp the Umbilical Cord and sterilized sewing thread to tie it off. I also delivered our first grandchild.

We learned from Harvard research about an incompatibility between chemical reaction medical science and Neurotransmitters. Subjecting newborns to that question is not preferable. The following ten grandchildren were delivered via a midwife service with convictions similar to what we believe.

When our oldest three were in first, second and third grade, the school nurse said our children are so strong because they didn't have medical drugs weaken their systems. I never considered her perspective but controversy over immunizations and autism went off in the years following the school nurse's comments. She was right.

Bringing children into the world requires focus and concentration similar to what's needed to confront our technically advanced ancestors. Whether dealing with personal or political issues, here's a general rule of thumb to follow. Having faith in Father means help will be there when necessary.
